Value - #atozchallenge
Value of You.
What do you think you are worth?
I know many people make fun of "selfies" but I wonder about those people. I understand that some people feel it can be egotistical or that we are too self-involved. I also know that like anything, things can go to far but....
Here are my thoughts....maybe those people that say those things also have their own issues, maybe those are the people that are afraid to face themselves, to look in the mirror, don't like themselves so would never want to take a "selfie".
So many times when someone is afraid or uncomfortable...they feel the need to judge.
What I notice with "selfies"....is the person always looks more relaxed, there isn't someone there that they feel they need to pose for, they hold themselves naturally. They are almost always having fun.
It took me a long time to love myself....a long time to find my worth. It's something I'm becoming more and more passionate about as I watch and listen to family, friends, my nieces, etc. be so hard on themselves, especially the younger kids. I put myself in bad situations because I didn't value myself enough and I don't want to see others do the same. Life is so short, there is so much life to live so why ruin moments or yourself by not placing enough time and value in YOU.
So here is what I say. Take that "selfie'! Look at yourself, love yourself....see your beauty!
Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world. -Lucille Ball
This is the direction of my book and I can't wait to complete it. I so hope to help and work with young kids moving forward. Have a great weekend!!
